Dark Photo of People on Stage

My journey into the world of arts and entertainment began in the small town of Mullanpur, where, as a second grader, I started taking Harmonium and Tabla classes at the local Gurudwara. These early musical experiences ignited a deep passion within me for the rhythms and melodies that define our cultural heritage.

By the time I reached the fifth grade, I had embarked on formal classical music training under the guidance of Professor Chaman Lal Bhalla, earning a two-year degree/certificate in music. My love for music only grew stronger as I continued to learn and explore.

In the seventh grade, I picked up the guitar, adding another instrument to my growing repertoire. My fascination with music didn't stop there; I also learned to play the bagpipe and flute, and became an integral part of the school band. Music was my world, and I thrived on every opportunity to perform, including six years of bhangra arts in school and numerous performances at youth festivals during my college years.

As my musical journey continued, I began to explore other creative outlets. From the eighth grade onwards, I developed a keen interest in graphic design, photography, and video editing. I taught myself Photoshop and became proficient in various computer languages such as C, C++, and web development. This diverse skill set laid the foundation for my future endeavors in visual storytelling.

In 2012, armed with a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and Windows Movie Maker, I filmed and edited my very first video. This humble beginning marked the start of my journey as a filmmaker. The process of creating a visual narrative fascinated me, and I began to delve deeper into video editing and visual effects. By early 2013, I was learning After Effects and various 3D software, all while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

My passion for visual storytelling led me to Arena Animation, where I completed a part-time six-month diploma in Computer Animation with Maya. I immersed myself in the world of VFX and 3D animation, mastering software like Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal Engine, and Cinema 4D. This expertise in visual effects became one of my strongest strengths as a director, influencing my creative vision and execution.

In 2014, one of my videos started garnering thousands of views on Facebook and YouTube, opening doors to the Punjabi music industry. I made invaluable connections and, in 2016, directed my first music video. This success paved the way for many more projects, establishing my reputation as an innovative and talented director.

In April 2018, I moved to Canada and worked as a video editor with 10+1 Creations for two years. This experience allowed me to hone my skills and build a network within the North American entertainment industry. In 2020, I launched my own career as an independent video director, collaborating with various well-known celebrities, music labels, and production companies across Canada, the USA, and the UK.

My expertise in visual effects and animation culminated in a groundbreaking project in 2022. Using Unreal Engine, I directed Bollywood's first music video filmed on a virtual production screen. The music video "Level Up" by American artist Nijjar not only pushed creative boundaries but also became a case study in various animation and visual effects schools in India.

Throughout my career, I have worked with artists such as Amrinder Gill, Sukshinder Shinda, Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, Deep Jandu, Sultaan, and Jonita Gandhi. My collaborations with major labels and production companies, including Rhythm Boyz, Sony Music, Saga Music, T-Series, Zee Music, and others, have collectively garnered over a billion views across various platforms.

As I reflect on my journey, I am grateful for the diverse experiences and opportunities that have shaped me. My background in music and technology has uniquely positioned me to blend auditory and visual storytelling, creating content that resonates deeply with audiences. I remain dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and exploring new ways to tell stories that inspire and connect people worldwide.
